News & Tips
The Anti-spam project team hopes that the MailFrontier software is serving you well. In an ongoing effort to keep you up to date on this project, below are listed a few facts and several useful and important features of this new product:
- All email bound for a cofc.edu email account passes through the filter.
- Viruses and certain "known bad" attachments such as executables are automatically stripped.
- The system removes the most egregious spam and leaves likely spam in your Inbox.
- Daily filtered email notices are sent so you can see if likely spam is actually good email, giving you the opportunity to reroute that message to your Inbox.
- All spam settings are customizable to best fit individual wants and needs. (Due to security concerns, virus/attachment rules are not adjustable).
- It is recommended that local spam filters or third party filters be turned off.
- If email is received in your Inbox that you feel IS spam, simply forward it to submitbad@cofc.edu
